You have to set in your hotmail account settings to get "mail as it arrives".
It's in your manual for setting up email from Sprint.

i meant in my MAILBOX where emails come threw... i dident mean threw text messages...

In your Hotmail inbox go to Menu>Tools>Options>Hotmail>Sync schedule>Change to whatever you want.
