I do not have much experience with windows 7, but my tp2 is detected just fine in vista and xp in DIAG mode. It could be your OS, also try using another USB cable.

Thanks for the info. I did try both with no luck. I've done other flashing with Win 7 without a problem so I still think it's a driver issue. I also tried my xp system but I only have QPST on it and it might not be the newest version.

You don't need the newest version, your drivers are the biggest factor aside from a functioning phone and a USB cable thats working right and proper.
