Yep! That'll do it!

Re: Battery draining, dont know why?

I've had teh same problem... been through 2 phones (sprint) and I own 3 batteries.. I can't figure it out, I've been stock and I've been through about 10 different roms.. I get my email every 15 minutes and nothing is currently installed. The only thing I notice is that with manilla, when the weather animation starts, if I press the power button to put the phone to sleep and then I turn it back on, the animation seems to have continued going as if the screen was just off and the phone never slept.. I dont know if that makes any sense but with my touch pro 1, the button on top would shut everything off except for the radio to get calls emails and texts (turning it off while it was plugged into my computer would result in my computer saying whatever was connected had been disconnected) and it would continue to charge but not sync.... any help would be nice.

Re: Battery draining, dont know why?

I wonder if all of us having bad battery problems are all using the same radio? How do I check what version my radio is so we can all post and see if it is the same...

I have two push e-mail accounts active (Windows Live, Google Sync) and still get good battery life.

Re: Battery draining, dont know why?

Oddly enough, using a battery monitor, turning off the screen actually results in a spike UP of battery usage.. wtf..

Re: Battery draining, dont know why?

Had mine off the charger since 9am and now at 3am, battery is still at 50%. I was using the internet quiet a bit today, texting and on the phone as well.

It seems to be a lot better after doing the "Data connection disable mod" yesterday.

Before my data connection would be running all the time and my battery life would drop down along with the clock >_<.

Re: Battery draining, dont know why?

Over the past month I've been trying to figure out why my battery has been draining super fast, like 100% to dead in 5 hours! I've used many different roms seeing if they made a difference, have not been installing anything except for setting up my email accounts (exchange, gmail, hotmail). Most recently I only setup the exchange account and found that the battery lasted all day, overnight, and well into the morning. I thought it was the ROM, Silence, so i setup the gmail account and left it for a day, no problem. Then setup the hotmail acct. to "as items arrive" and the battery immediately began to go down, a few hours later...dead.

Was there some type of Windows Live update recently? I used this exact same setup for like 3 months without any issues until I flashed to a ROM in early January.
