Battery draining, dont know why?

Brand new phone. Had it for a month. I can charge my phone right before bed and take it off the charger. By morning time, phone has shut off because batter is dead? Is there some type of setting that I'm missing?

Have u tried using the tweak here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=88640

Also makes sure you do some of the battery adjustments in the SPCS manual on page 14.

Stupid question but is your battery really dead or is the display screen just turn off due to inactivity? ie do u really have no bars on battery meter?

Yeah it's really dead. I push the power button to check my screen only to have the phone greet me with the htc start up screen. Phone turns back on and led is flashing orange and white message window pops up with low battery message.

Maybe you have too many programs running and checking the internet all night long? Are you in a bad coverage area and the phone needs to search for a signal often?

Reception is good. My windows live account settings are set to deliver email instantly upon arrival. And what's bad is that the battery is draining and I dont even talk on the phone...

Does it have anything to do with the rom I have installed? Wifi is shut off, so that shouldnt have anything to do with it...oh and Microsoft Myphone runs once a day of course..

i'm having the same issue, even after replacing my phone twice with new replacements.

i've got pretty much everything turned off, yet something in the background is still draining my battery

Re: Battery draining, dont know why?

I would perhaps try different ROM to see if it is.
If not your device might be faulty...

I can charge my phone fully before bed and its still almost full when I wake up. If I don't touch my phone it will last for a few days... I also don't have any programs running themselves when I'm not using it, and don't have push or whatever email going. I use my phone for personal usage so I check my email the old fashioned way...

Re: Battery draining, dont know why?

i think you should take it in to be replaced...i switched over from the diamond and my battery life on the touch pro 2 is amazing compared to the diamond...running stock rom i get 2 full days of charge with moderate use.

Re: Battery draining, dont know why?

Try the stock ROM or if your on it now then hard reset your phone (use MS MY Phone to back up contacts and files first) and see what happens. If it's still acting up then you can bring it back to Sprint and it should be covered under the one year warranty....Good luck!
