Crunchy Keyboard

The bottom right buttons on my physical keyboard make a kind of crunching sound when I press them. Any idea what's going on? It wasn't that way at first, but one day it just started. At some point, it went away, and now it's back. I don't know how to explain it except that it has a little more resistance pressing the keys in and makes a little crunching or clicking sound.

It was all the way up into the M and K keys, but now it's just the down and right arrows and enter.

Re: Crunchy Keyboard

A little schmutz under the keys maybe? I dunno what that could be other than just some dust in the keyboard. Try cleaning it out with some canned air.

Re: Crunchy Keyboard

The keypad has a small sticky tape underneath it to help it stick to the board with the buttons on it. Most likely that side isn't sticking too well.

Re: Crunchy Keyboard

My guess is that you don't use the keyboard very often...

Why might you ask? Cause I have this too and I almost never use it. This feeling/sound only happens on the bottom set of keys, and I was able to "fix" it when pushing move the key slightly up and down, I think the alignment has gotten off. Not a huge worry as no damage or such.

Re: Crunchy Keyboard

Thanks guys, I was thinking either debris or some kind of tape or plastic that wasn't exactly right. It's really annoying to me, but I use my KB a lot, and I'm a little OCD. I'll try fooling with it until it's either fixed, or completely broken, in which case I'll get Sprint to fix it for me.

I had same problem and used mine all the time. I exchanged the phone over it. I also noticed it's worse when in colder temps.
