G-Alarm is great and does what you're after. You can set it to make you do a maze and/or some math problems before you can turn it off. You can start with a demo from their site here:

I like RNS Weekup. Works great after I fixed the windows alarm bug. (alarm wouldn't resound after I "snoozed" it b/c my screen went dim (off). The minute I turned the screen back on the alarm would sound. This was same with stock alarm, too.)
