Heh, nice guide. Since cooking my own ROMs i've made it a point to include registry changes/updates/removals with each version to make the process easier for folks.

I didn't see ‘WinCE RegEdit5’ as a file type to save. I saw 'Win Regedit 5' and just 'WinCE'.

Re: GUIDE: How to Backup and Restore Settings Automatically After a Flash
If you're using PHM RegEdit there should be a 'Win Regedit 5' option, it's the third one down in the list. Choose that one

Thanks to everyone, this works really well, although I only use it for Makisu. The registry comparison process seems like it would be very time consuming but I can definitely see the benefit of taking the time to do it.

Re: GUIDE: How to Backup and Restore Settings Automatically After a Flash
Thank you so much. Since I started flashing ROMs around 2 26, I invested most of my free time to it. When I learned that there was a way to automate the set up process, I wanted to learn everything I could about it. I got Sashimi down pretty quickly as it is very user friendly. I definitely recommend taking the time to learn it because it is a good intro into .reg files, .cab automation, and .xml file creation with Makisu. Also, it doesn't take that long to read all about it set it up and run it. Then, since I wanted more control over installation, I religiously spent the last week learning about SDConfig. Now my cook is moving to XDA_UC so I am moving on to that. The only thing I didn't know was how to find the reg keys that I needed. Just thinking about the power and options this WinDiff program will give me I get goose bumps. This is all I need to keep me busy for the next few weeks!!! Thanks again for the tutorial and the step-by-step instructions.
