TP2 Messaging Issues!

I had a couple of quick questions. I installed the HTC sms hot-fix for the 2016 timestamp issue directly from their website and it seemed to work, but when I get new messages they don't show up on the TF3D screen anymore, the ticker shows 1 message and then I have to go to all messages to see the message. I cannot seem to see it on the TF3D messaging tab. The last message I received before I did the hotfix seems to be stuck on there for some reason. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Also, every time I have to try to reply to a message I have to click on the reply option to be able to do so...otherwise it takes forever if I tap the TF3D screen and try to reply directly from there. What is the fastest way to do this? Sorry I just got my TP2 and am not sure if there is already a fix for this lag...Thanks in advance!
