Re: For those experiencing the "failure to wake" issue...

* I don't think I had the problem on Sprint ROM 6.1 (the factory original), though I'm not 100% sure
* I immediately started having the problem on Sprint ROM 6.5. Seemed to happen a lot when leaving in TXT messaging mode, sometimes Sprint Music, maybe other places
* I did a "delete all data", and flashed to MightyROM last night, and have not had the problem, fingers crossed

My phone is not-refurb and build date of January 12 2010

I have not experienced the "failure to wake" since I began regularly clearing duplicate notifications.

I am amazed that after all these years, Microsoft hasn't fixed or at least worked around that bug. (Why can't WM6.5 itself clear duplicate notifications on every startup?)

Re: For those experiencing the "failure to wake" issue...

This issue is very much ROM specific. I never have this issue running an Energy Rom, but have had it with various other ROMs. There is something different aboout NRG's ROMs where he does not have this issue, many other Chef's do. If there is a ROM that I like and want to run, but has this issue, I simply use ACs S2U2 (http://ac-s2.com/) and use the "Do not suspend" option. I think you get the same effect if you do not check the "suspend" option on the default lock. As long as you do not let the device suspend, you do not have to worry about waking it. Battery life is shortened, but I can't tell it is by much. I have so many background internet apps, my phone is almost never asleep.

combined with Rhodium Keyboard Controller (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=554240) does this for me. I just change the registry key (also in Settings/System/Keylock) and install the app. You don't have to configure the app after installing. I have not figured out why it works....but it does.

Re: For those experiencing the "failure to wake" issue...

I had the 6.1 running for about 4-5 months and had no issues with the failure to wake. But since 'upgrading' to 6.5 on two tp2 phones in the last week or so, i've had this failure to wake many times...i've just waited it out though, never had to reboot...wonder if its some kind of super lag...

I've had to replace the tp2 twice in 4-5 months because of the charging issue.

The cause of the issue is manila going into overdrive and utilizing so much CPU (this can be verified with the built in task manager) that nothing else can function. For me, it's usually because of processing SMSs after closing the text program. With a lot of texts, it can take 5 min to become responsive again. So far, I have not had an instance where it didn't recover if I gave it enough time.

Re: For those experiencing the "failure to wake" issue...

How would you explain three hard resets..... Yes... HARD RESETS back to back and then the problem being there instantaniously... As soon as the reset was done... I pressed the power button and no wake up.
Each and every time you pressed the power off you had to soft reset to get it back on.
I took it to Sprint with a fresh hard reset... NO cabs installed... NONE.
Sprint replaced my phone and I have had NO problems. It's been like a month now.

glad to hear your replacement is working! wish i could duplicate it at will so i could show sprint. anyway, after yet anotehr hard reset, i the reflashed the stock 6.5, did another hard reset...so far it wakes everytime. and now it seems to wake instantly where before it wold take a second, or two...or not wake. so far so good though

Re: For those experiencing the "failure to wake" issue...

I posted about this problem over at XDA, there is a correlation with the weather, facebook, and twitter. What the correlation is I dont know, but one of the problems I can tell you I noticed is When the weather changes to Rain, and the today screen has alot going on, with rain, the wiper blade, and what not, it seems the screen goes black, and wont wake up. But the Rain animation does have a part to play in it along with your memory running low. It seems it goes into like a infinite loop, or crawls to where it wont wake up, but you dont have to take the battery out, you can hit the reset button on the side under the cover to reset it. But the weather definitely plays a part in it, search for the thread in XDA that was posted by me.
