help installing android 2.01 on tp2

ive downloaded the android 2.o1 to my phone already and extraxted the files already. when i click on it it says booting linux or something like that.as its installing it it stops and says that it can not find the roots on the sd card?? what am i suppose to do to get the roots or extract roots to the sd card?? im a newbie i bealry got my phone a month ago and im trying to install new things to it...can anyone help plz
