Rom Problems

No matter what rom I try to use it runs for crap or not at all, I had Juice's R6 and it would work fine for a 1 week or 2 then crash, I've tried a bunch of others and no luck. Is this just bad luck or something else?
Any ideas? The OEM Sprint rom runs fine. I hard reset after I install all roms and I've tried installing the sprint rom first and then a cooked rom and no luck.

Re: Rom Problems

I've noticed a lot of the custom ROMs don't seem to have the longevity and stability of the stock ROM but I still prefer the custom ROMs without a doubt becuase of WM 6.5.X and the newer features. I have found Calkulin's ROMs to be incredibly stable, if you have not tried his ROMs I say give it a shot.

I must say, I have not tried all the ROMs available. I am on Calk's v 1.3 and before I upgrade to his newest, I will likely try the newest from NRG, Juicy, and Merdin...

Re: Rom Problems

I always reflash to stock vzw and hard reset both before and after also when flashing a new custom rom and agree that sometimes they seem to deteriorate in quality of performance with time. I currently have the stock rom on again, but am using my imagio for the 6.5. I'm planning on leaving the tp2 in stock rom mode as it is so quick and stable. I've tried all the custom roms already anyway. I love having the imagio to swap back and forth with.

Re: Rom Problems

Thanks for the input but I've tried alot of the custom roms and its not that they dont last its most dont even work, they will freeze with in a min. or so! Im starting to think that its my phone. I've read alot of the posts in the custom roms and no one else seems to have the problems I do.

Re: Rom Problems

Try running indygrooves rom. it runs much faster than all of the other roms that I have tried. tho if you want to use the mail app youll have to us the version that I tweaked as mail was being crashed because of another app. (the new on 6.53)

other than that I love indygrooves rom, for some reason it runs much faster than the rest.
