[RUMOR]Official Android port to Touch Pro 2???

So, I heard a rumor today that HTC is planning to port the Android OS officially to the current Touch Pro 2. Has anyone else heard this?

Why would they port when they can make a whole new phone and make more more money selling it?

I figured that it wasn't really gonna happen. I wanted to see if anyone else has heard this at all because it's gonna help me make my decision on my next phone purchase. I'll probably be purchasing a Hero.

both the hero and moment are gonna get the android 2.1 update. real question you gotta ask yourself is:

do i want the physical keyboard of the moment and faster processor?

or do i want the sense ui and all its glory with the hero?

Oh, that's not hard. I've already decided it'll be the Hero. I'm not a fan of the "Basic" Android interface. I like the Sense UI and the overall functionality of it's features. Definitely the phone for me.

Honestly the regular android os does nothing for me. Sense is a must to even make it useable, kind of like winmo. wthout sense, android is kind of bland and boring.
