Re: Extracting Stock Rom For Kitchen
use ervius visual kitchen, just open up the exe and click ok at all the warning about missing files. once it loads click dump nbh in the bottom left corner, browse to the nbh you extracted from a stock ruu package using winrar, that is all. a kitchen will be created in the same directory of the nbh file.
edit: after I post a question I just keep looking for the answer and then find it.. never fails. lol |

Re: Extracting Stock Rom For Kitchen
You've been thanked!
Is there by chance a link to download the kitchen only? I have found many kitchens that include EVirus' kitchen but it is attached with an already dumped rom. I know it's probably staring right at me but I figured I'd ask. I will find it after I post this haha but I gotta keep up with the trend. |

hah, other suggestion is download my kitchen and replace the sys, oem, ext, rom with yours.. it uses platformrebuilder, same thing as the VK behind the scenes http://raidzero.alexauv.com/kitchens/TP2/ get last nights, actually it doesn't matter if you are going to replace all the ingredients anyway, theres only two I only just officially switched from nightly TP to TP2... </shameless plug> |

Re: Extracting Stock Rom For Kitchen
Thank you again, Raid. I am downloading your kitchen as we speak. I tried downloading a couple of other but my antivirus keeps detecting osnbtools.exe as a virus *sigh* Sometimes antivirus hurts more than helps I've noticed. I kept forgetting to mark the file as "safe".
One again, thank you for your help. I certainly hope this post is found by others looking for the solution to a similar question. Stay tuned! I am sure I will find myself asking another question. |

Re: Extracting Stock Rom For Kitchen
Are there any tutorials out there regarding ROM building, i.e. ROM building for dummies? Just curious, as I'm pretty happy with the custom ROM's being put out here and I'm sure they're far more stable than anything I could come up with.
