Re: Winmo 6.6
Well, I'm over 35...I have porn on my TP2...I have movies...I play NFS...I use my fingers and the stylus...
to the older/professional...why get all high and mighty...with someone that may or may not help you out with your device in the future?? to the younger/sylus hater...so what if grandpa wants to keep using the stylus its what he's used to... Opinions are like a**holes...and everyone's got one...we get that...can we stay on topic and talk about this 6.6? I would be upset with MS if 6.5.3/6.6 is anything like what WinMo7 is going to be. it is nothing more than enlarged drop downs, larger fonts, ribbon menus, and a couple of rather unsightly buttons with a start button so that they can call it finger friendly. In My Humble Opinion, even though I don't like titanium...I think Titanium is more a step forward. It makes sense that it resembles the Zune UI. Now if they can only get away from thinking desktop (which is what 6.5.3 really reminds me of...startbutton and taskbar on the bottom...the systray is on top since there is no room for it on the taskbar.) I think MS needs WinMo to get young instead of remodelling the old parts to make it new.

YES! Back to the topic. It's marketing. If anyone really thought a Windows 7 RELEASE was coming out next month, then they don't deserve to see the next release. A preview on the other hand, is not going to be as apparent. If people like it, expect Windows 7 to be like it. If people don't, Microsoft has plenty of time to change it without people thinking that it was really Windows 7! |

I believe Windows 6.6 will be a slight stop gap to Windows 7 which will be a finger friendly version of their desktop OS. They are going to step it up now that Android arrived. Which will benefit us in the long run, most of us..... Thanks |

Re: Winmo 6.6
The unfortunate part is that even if WM7 devices are amazing and released by the end of this year it is late. Very late. It is going to take time to win back developers and that's what will kill them. I'm still waiting to see what's announced next month at MWC, but I've all but made up my mind to jump ship to android if the Bravo comes to Sprint.

Jumped ship for Android now that WM is officially useless. |

It is just plain stupid and I'm very annoyed that us users who aren't into using our devices that way are getting less and less options. I wish companies would build devices to solve actual usage cases for actual customers and not build to these stupid pointless fads. But I guess that is my generation... We all have ADHD and can't focus on anything but the newest thing for 10 seconds at a time so you follow these fads because we're not smart enough to see beyond them... Sad... And annoying...
