Ok here's the scoop. I have this information from a VERY reliable source. The Sprint Touch Pro 2 6.5 ROM is going to be released ANY DAY!!!!! It could be on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or even a Sunday but it will be ANY day! Did I also mention that it could be ANY WEEK or ANY MONTH.... :)


Seriously though how many people expected to see the other TP2 ROMS when they suddenly showed up without much warning?

It will be released when it is finished. The last thing we need is a buggy ROM. Chill. Crack open a cold one and relax...

I was talking to them in oct? of last year and they said it would definately be out by dec. I told him about the 2010 rumors and he said it was for sure going to come out by dec. There is no way it will come out next year....

lol the wonderful world of sprint reps I will wait and see be awsome gift from sprint since thier CES sucked, thier not geting the HTC hd 2 or any good phone ( and I know they are secretive but hell I like to know whats coming to my phone company) and when is the leak hitting?!?!

and FYI "February" does not equal February 31. Technically it could drop February 28th

And here's what is says in the Sprint community from a Sprint Admin ...

Sprint and HTC are currently developing a release of Windows Mobile 6.5 for the HTC Touch Pro2 that is expected to be available to customers by end of first quarter, 2010. This upgrade will not only provide updates to the Windows Mobile platform, but also significant enhancements to the Touch Pro2 user interface which will allow additional customization/personalization options and more integration with the applications users access most.

As i predicted it comes out during the time the next big thing will be coming windows m,7. Im so sick of sprint and there lack of ability to keep up with the times. When sprint releases windows 6.5 windows 7 will have been leaked out and people will be having custom roms for that. Then 6.5 is uselss almost. SPRINT GET YOUR SH*T together.

Not going to happen. Not by a long shot. Considering the only phone even capable of handling WM7 is the HD2. And seriously, why single Sprint out? Oh what they got their official update a week after Verizon? Jesus seriously, go complain to MS

If this DOES turn out to be truth rather than fiction, all these sprint users better priase sprint for raising the bar, rather than crying that there's no update out at the moment.

If it doesn't happen and it has taken sprint quite a while... continue flaming lol.

This would be definitely a great addon for the sprint rom considering it's taking quite some time to be released.

Although one thing to point out. That comment on the sprint forums doesn't really help stating Q1 of 2010. That's a whole 3 month window.

Knowing Sprint though I'm actually expecting what the other carriers got...only we have to wait 2-3 months longer for it...

Verizon got theirs a week ago, Is T-mos even officially out? Sprint could release it in a week. That would be 2 weeks after Verizon and everyone is up in arms. Wtf
