phone will not turn off pls help!

hey guys
sorry but my tp2 will not turn off
i hold the power button
and it asks me if i want it to turn off
then i press on yes
and my screen just freezes there
and the phone doesnt turn off
i would have to take the battery out to turn it off
what is the problem?

Does it do this every time you try to turn it off? Does it soft reset fine?>

i am new to this phone i dont even know how to install programs on it i did sim unlock it tho else i wouldnt be able to use it
and soft reset is fine
and yes it does it every time i try to turn it off

Try to hard reset the device or use the clear storage app to accomplish the same thing. Could be a software glitch that will be cleared up when it's reset. Make sure to back up your contacts, calendar, etc. though before hard resetting the device or using clear storage as it wipes everything back to default.

but what is hard reset?
and sorry to go off topic
but am i suppose to change my rom? (as i see everyone in here seems to be doing so even though i have no idea what its for )
