Re: Manually configure Program Rotation via Registry?

Unfortunately, and surprisingly, this didn't work for me. I added the String with the exact syntax you provided, reset my phone, but YomoMedia doesn't respond to rotation.

I'm running Verizon's Stock 6.1 ROM.

??

Bump - also, fwiw, Adobe Reader LE doesn't auto-rotate either, unfortunately.

This really shouldn't be so hard. HTC and/or VZW should really have provided a simple, built-in way of allowing the user to control which apps do and don't rotate using the phone's G-sensor. Pretty irresponsible not to...

Hmm, maybe because you are on the Stock rom, maybe vzw has something confilcting, works fine for me, yomo flipped, adobe reader, which i use all thime flips for me. double check the registry to the text I posted the other day and double check you have spelling and ebtries correct, plus they are case sensitive as well.

i also fogot to mention that to get yomo to flip, you need net cf 3.5, sorry bout that. stock rom's have 2.0, there should be threads here or at xda with 3.5 cab for youb to install, or you can download from ms site as well, and install via computer connection, hope this helps, then yomo should flip

Re: Manually configure Program Rotation via Registry?

Thanks for the reply, insomniac.

I'm pretty careful about this stuff, but double-checked my entries, and they are precisely as you have posted. To confirm, for YomoMedia, the value should be "NETCF_AGL_BASE_" with the extra underscore at the very end? I have it entered exactly this way, cases correct as well.

And I had installed net cf 3.5 long ago, within a week or two of getting my phone, so that's not the problem.

How did you come up with the entry "NETCF_AGL_BASE_" to begin with, or the other possibilities you tried out? If I knew more about where this stuff comes from, I might be able to try out some options on my own. What other entries had you tried before stumbling on this one? Maybe one of those would work for me??

In any case, I really do appreciate your taking the time to get this going, and am frustrated that it doesn't seem to be working on my device for some odd reason.

I'm afraid I've got some more bad news for you - the correction to your correction was incorrect!!:error:

I first tried:

#NET_CF_AGL_BASE_

as you have written in your final post, did a soft reset, but no joy.

But then tried:

#NETCF_AGL_BASE_

did another soft reset, and lo and behold, YomoMedia now rotates correctly!!! :headbang:

So I'm good to go, and appreciate your sticking with me through all of this. Still wonder why Adobe Reader LE doesn't work (maybe we both should recheck our entries!!:toothy10:) but that's not a biggie for me, as I don't need to use it that often.

Thanks again!!

Weird, the way I have it is the way I told you and it works on my phone, Kept the program, only thing I don't like about is not being able to do a search right from the phone for a specific podcast, but the best for winmo, if had that feature.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

i added the edits to make tf3d auto rotate, now i want more apps like windows media player, mp3 trimmer, microsoft word etc to autorotate.
