Is there a way to keep the wifi link active even when the phone is idle. I am currently using my TP2 with Gremote to control my htpc over the wifi link. However once the phone goes to standby or is idle for a while, the wifi link dies so when i need to suddenly pause something it doesnt work. I have to then minimze gremote, go to the wifi page again so it becomes active again and the launch gremote. is there a way to temporarily get the phone to keep everything on and active?

Re: keep wifi connection from timing out

I tried to changed this myself PHM RegEdit, but it did not take it. What I'm I doing wrong?

I changed the value to 1 and then I did a soft reset, but it didn't take. Once the phone is goes to idle the wireless shuts off.

Here is a screen grab:

Wifi Reg Fix:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\BCMSDDHD1\Parms]
"HTCKeepWifiOnWhenUnattended"=dword:1
