Backlight not turning on since 6.5 update
 

After the phone turns the screen off, at times it wont turn back on.

I uploaded a video of this problem on youtube, but can't post the link (as I have less than 10 posts) youtube.c om/watch?v=I4QfRyUuhkA (had to space it out in order to show you guys)


I've posted this at other boards, and even saw another person with the same issue but nobody has a solution. Appreciate any help

The same thing happened to me after flashing with the stock VZW 6.5 and running various tweak cabs. I also had a problem that it didn't recognize my contacts list with caller id or incoming texts. I did a hard reset and installed minimal tweaks and it's all good now. I'm still not sure which broke it but so far so good.

No Push Internet

I think it was either the SSK.. or the No Push cab (or both). I'm not sure if those will fully uninstall but give it a shot. I did notice that installing those didn't free up RAM like on 6.1. Maybe 6.5 doesn't keep Opera resident?

The no push internet should have freed up some RAM. Although I made the changes manually, the cab should have done the same thing.

You can probably lose the ResProxy hack. If you look at the registry value it changes, you'll find that it has automatically been reset to its default value. Since you don't need it, it can't hurt to uninstall it in case it contributed to your problem.

By any chance, are you using a magnetic case when you see this problem?

i had this problem with my launch day tp2, had to send it back. had the problem resuface with my current unit after a rom flash. reflash to a different rom did the trick and no issues since.

To a different Rom? Right now I'm staying with the OEM 6.5 until I find a custom one made that I like (there's tons out there, just need to finally pick)

Can I just plug my phone in and run the same exe file that I used to flash it? Or would I have to downgrade then upgrade again?

You can reload your stock 6.5 rom just by doing a hard reset..either through the "clear storage" choice or via the hardware key combination (talk/send + End + volume down).
