how to get rid of error 1012?

i have a sprint phone..unlocked...but whenever i turn the phone off then on i get this error cause i havent activated the phone
what can i do to get rid of this annoyance??

error code 1012 means you have no connection to your phone. but you know this, because you haven't activated it yet.

but i am in canada so i unlocked it and i am using rogers sim card o-o so i cant activate it via sprint thats y i wanna know if there's a way to get rid of that error.
