tv out battery usage?

Just wondering how badly the tv out functionality drsins the TP2 battery?

I have a big old monitor in my basement that I plan to se to watch stuff while I'm on my bike trainer down there. Wanted to use my TP2 as a source, but if it's going to kill the battery in 30 mins it would be no use.

I have the official HTC video cable and it's gone for hours while my kids watched movies off of my phone on a TV, but that cable allows for the phone to be charged while streaming out.

plus one. the oem cable lets you charge while streaming.

That sounds like a good solution then, I need an original tv out cable... off to e-bay I go...
