I just received a brand new TP2. any sugguestions as to what upgrades i can do to it or apps i can add.

I'd say you should first spend a bit of time in these TP2 forums reading. You may want to go the ROM upgrade route, but maybe not. There's a lot of information about that in here. On the app front, look in the sticky threads that speak to those topics. Welcome and good luck.
