Re: Help! Sprint TP2 sim unlocked on Tmobile

I had it set up for AT&T, testing it in next few days. Hopefully it will work.

Re: Help! Sprint TP2 sim unlocked on Tmobile

unfortunately, I still could not get it to work perfectly. THe network still drops when I move. I think I did everything right.

first, unlock the phone, flash US ratio, the phone works for AT&T, no problem with phone calls.

second, manually set it to GSM mode, search the network manually and AT&T network was added manually. (mode of operation, GSM/UMTS only, GSM network selection manual, current network, AT&T.)

last, GSM/UMTS setting, select your network type : GSM
select your GSM/UMTS band, GSM(1900+850)+UMTS(1900+850)

I think everything should be fine. But network still drops. When it drops, I had to do search network manually. It is not just annoying, it makes the phone not a cell phone anymore. Please let me know if there anything can do. I can send you pics step by step too. Thanks!!!!!

Re: Help! Sprint TP2 sim unlocked on Tmobile

have you tried re-flashing the unlocker? that might work also. either that, or you have a defective phone. i went today and used my t-mobile while moving around, i never lost my signal or call. i talked for 20 mins while on the move.

Re: Help! Sprint TP2 sim unlocked on Tmobile

Maybe I should do re-flashing the unlocker again. I flashed the mighty rom (win6.5) after I did the unlock. Maybe that did something to my phone. But at least I did flash US-ratio again(1.96) after I got mighty rom. I will do everything all over again tomorrow morning and have it test.

it seems that phone call never lost. Sometimes, networks drops right after phone call. it just always drops. I feel like that it kind of makes sense, because network is manually set up. How could I except the network would re-connect automatically after the signal is lost?

Re: Help! Sprint TP2 sim unlocked on Tmobile

I did unlock again and US ratio again as well. This time, I noticed that I did not check "set CID 000000" last time. I did it and it seems fine in my building. It drops sometime in my building couple days ago. I will take it out for testing around noon.

Re: Help! Sprint TP2 sim unlocked on Tmobile

The problem seems that it doesn't automatically switch to different towers as you drive around, it just loses signal until you manually force it to connect again.

I think it is true. I tested it again, it still does the same thing. Network drops when I move around. I am looking for a way to set it as automatic mode. Or I am really giving up.
