No, there was no tethering tracking in the 6.1 ROM. Instead, they just hid the ICS link so you had to use their "Modem Link" program.

I will say though, that I too thought it was a dog for the first couple days. Slow and really laggy. It's picked up since then and I've seen some suggestions that that's natural for a freash ROM flash. Takes time/use to get the ROM sync'd up/used to the device.

Whenit was first announced it seemed verizon wasn't officially acknowledging it yet, so I was thinking maybe they were adding/removing and possibly tweaking it a bit sweeter. Hoping, thats all. I know its the same base rom. I tried it the first day and dumped it like a hot potato. The 6.1 absolutely ran this thing down for stability speed/king.

So does anyone have a working BG for all tabs cab or fix for this yet? I read all 53 pages and couldn't get a solid fix...

any one else have an issue of trying to change the today screen background image and the phone always freezing when doing so. even with touchflo disabled it still happens. it is really annoying that I have to reset every time I want to change the picture for today screen so that I have a new image for the lock screen.

Tried the new Verizon 6.5 official ROM having flashed from a Mr. X in preparation to going to the newest MR. X update (1/21/10).
After 2 days use, it remains stable with good battery life. No problems encountered thus far. The program icons are tidy and well positioned. Very responsive thus far.

Will give it a few more days use before going to the updated Mr. X

OK, I got the backgrounds in all tabs and weather animation working with non-default BG but I still have that ugly black bar at the bottom behind the slider icons still cutting off half of the wallpaper. Anybody know a fix for this?

How do I get the today screen to show 5 icons instead of 4 1/2 on the slider.
