Negative. I just did a hard reset rebuild Tuesday night and just put the thing back together. I did just download it though.

This is amazing. I doubted this would come for weeks. Downloading now. Tmobile and verizon's leaked the same day. I love that Sprint is last again to release a windows update.

PCD is the distributor for the official TP2 WM6.5 update... not Verizon. It was like this with the XV6800. The update came from UTStar(?)

Make no mistake, this is the real update.

This update is not officially showing on the Verizon support website yet. Be ye warned, this update may be bogus

...or it may be totally legit. I'm just saying that flashers should be cautious

This is legit, This the update website that VZ uses. its not bogus. This the company that posts most updates for other carriers. Check them out.

Most carriers won't go nutz about announcing an update, they just kind of leave it to the user to go find it if they have problems or call customer service.

So if I plan on staying with MightyROM, would it be worth it to flash to this first, then back to Mighty just for the updated radio? Are there any other benefits of flashing to this first before going back to a custom ROM? Updated drivers? Updated dlls?...

I think your right, the only benefit would be the radio.

Almost sure that the community will tear that thing apart and use what every they can to make the cooked roms better.

who's going to be the first to try this out? btw I read the instructions and it makes no mention of windows 7 32 or 64 for compatible OS but it does list vista 32 and 64 bit.

These were posted just a few days ago by a Verizon employee who was beta testing this ROM update. I'm willing to bet that what we got today was almost the exact same

Well don't feel too bad. Verizon used to take months and months and months to update when Sprint had its out. I'm sure Sprint's will hit very soon too.
