Sense 2.5 Roms - Why is HTC Messaging App Different?

The last few days I've been trying to jump onboard the Sense 2.5 (1922) bandwagon testing out quite a few roms. I've tried multiple releases from MightyMike (WAR), NRG, and now SsS. One thing I noticed (besides the terrible lag of the HTC messaging app when you have 900 text messages restored from MyPhone) is that the app itself looks different on the various roms. On some roms there is a graphical send button near the attach button and on these the left softkey is a back key which makes it easy to return to what I was doing previously. On other roms there is no graphical send button and instead the left softkey is the send button with no sign of a back key anywhere. Why aren't all the Sense 2.5 1922 HTC messaging screens the same between the different ROMs?

I've wondered that as well. The versions with the msg counter are faster. Restoring texts in HTC messaging is torture....torture yourself with increased lag!

FYI: There is a regedit to add the send button to the icon, and make the left softkey a Back button. I have the edit (backed up in Sashimi), but I'll look to see what the actual reg edit it is.
