Text message not sounding

Has anyone had issue with getting text message, But sometimes find that the phone never chimes when you get a text? I notice this is I turn off the screen with the text messaging client still open.

Yes, have the same problem....sometimes my sms tone will not work any more.
It will not work even when I go to the sound setup section, select it and press the "sound-preview-play"-button.

Then I have to copy the sound file to the windows directory again...

The standard MM.

Yea. Still having this issue. I'm gonna flash to the newer MM rom, but it's happened on multiple versions so far still.

Start>Settings>Sounds>Make sure "Events", "Programs", and "Notifications" are checked.

Yup definitely. It only doesn't sound usually when I have the backlight turn off when in messaging. If the phone backlight turns off at thehome screen, i'll usually get the sounds.

Have you run Carrier Provisioning from Start>System? If not, you must remember to do so EVERY TIME you flash MightROM. It contains vital changes specific to your carrier.

What programs do you have installed? Anything like phoneAlarm? Or G-Profile? Spb Phone Suite?

It happens to me too, only when the messaging screen is up. Usually the sound is cut short though instead of not playing at all.
