Re: SPB Mobile shell is it worth it?

Too late...I ended up un-installing it. Then the TouchFlo start screen would not come on correctly so I had to do hard reset. Haven't put the MS back on yet...hopefully the issue will be gone when I do.

This really is the best theme I have encountered for MS. MSkip is so annoying, with the way it makes your selectors all small below.
No problem. HTC Pure is the best theme I have seen so far too and it definitely looks the nicest.

I'm running stock rom with the cleanup cab and optimization cabs applied, mobile shell, and HTC Pure and I couldn't be happier. This is a completely different phone than the one Sprint sent me! I can't imagine going back to touchflo now.

Re: SPB Mobile shell is it worth it?

Do you know how to get back the orginal background image for the HTC Pure theme? I changed the background from the online catalog but don't like it but don't see the original background image

Change the background again but look in the local gallery.

I can't remember what the original default background is, but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be in the default local gallery folder.

You don't need any HTC editor to change your background in Mobile Shell.

Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2 (Sprint): Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

i have dumped mobile shell for the time being & am back to TF3D ... i didnt like the lack of response from certain icons when they were tapped. with the newest build i know there was a fix for the black icons .. but now at random times on the build previous i have icons turning black & then are also non responsive. i have never had to soft reset my phone as much as i have since using mobile shell. ive never tried the clean up cab so i mite check it out

I have never heard of any of the issues you are talking about. Flash a decent 6.5 ROM, and then install Mobile Shell. No hacks, no tweaks. Just put a decent ROM on, and then put Mobile Shell on. See how you like it like that for a few days. And then start hacking and tweaking stuff after that. It will help you nail down what is causing your trouble.

Re: SPB Mobile shell is it worth it?

Go here and install the hard spl:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=93252

It has a step by step instrucion for it. Basically, download it, make sure you are connected to acticesync (or windows mobile device manager in vista and newer) and then run the exe. it does the rest.

After you have the hard spl intalled, you can install whatever ROM you want. You do that the same way- download the ROM, make sure you are connected to active synce (or windows mobile device manager) and run the EXE for the ROM you downloaded.

The ROM I am using is Indagroove's Titanium. It works really well with Mobile Shell. Way faster than the stock ROM, finger friendly WM 6.5, and it's a Sprint ROM (and I have Sprint so it's perfect).
