Re: What is a Kitchen?
It is where you cook your food... Seriously though, a "Kitchen is where you can cook your own rom with your own pre compiled programs and settings. I suggest you read up a bit on it in the forums before you attempt.
You can try Caulklin's kitchen which works really well. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=95635 Post on how to use visual kitchen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413782

Re: What is a Kitchen?
I replied to your PM.
Here are some terms you would want to familiarize with first. As I suggested though in the PM. There are great chefs cooking all varieties of roms right now. I suggest starting with applying cabs made by others to achieve the effect you want or the program you want. Then maybe try making some of your own mods, and if you are still itchin to get in the kitchen, then strap on your apron! __________________________________________________ ________ Some of this may vary based on which kitchen you're in! RUU= this is where your new rom will be placed once created as RUU_signed.nbh.. the other files leave alone because they are needed for flashing BIN= the things needed for flasing... DO NOT MODIFY SYS= all your main system files, microsolft office, welcome center, etc. ROM= your xip structure OEM= some apps inside but mostly device specific drivers ect. EXT= folder where pretty much all of your applications, utilities, games, manilla, etc. will be stored in ext rom pkgs Rom Kitchen.exe=runs a program I created.. it will do everything from test your SYS/OEM files, build the rom, flash the rom, and a donation link temp= this is where you materials will come together to make a rom tools=components needed for rom creation.. I wouldnt mess with unless you know what you are doing.. toolset=everything you will need to make new EXT packages
