Re: Upgrade phone from tp2
Yeah you can get a phone at the discounted rate which would extend your contract. To avoid being charged back the full amount of the phone you would need to activate it on your line, but theres no problem there, because once you do that you can just do an ESN swap online on the my sprint website to switch back to the TP2. Then you could sell it or use it as a toy or whatever.

Re: Upgrade phone from tp2
I did this exact same thing . just activate it for a day then swap esn's online to whatever phone you want . I upgraded to a hero then put it on my sons line and swapped back to my TP2

I think all they really care about is you signing another contract, once they got you hooked again I dont think they care what phone you are using.

Re: Upgrade phone from tp2
In my humble opinion I would get a decent replacement and keep it as a spare. I don't know about your repair store but it could take as much as 2-3 days to get a replacement. If you go through insurance you could still be a day or two. I don't think I could live a day without my phone.

Re: Upgrade phone from tp2
Why not just sit tight. As long as you do nothing, the upgrade option will be there. If you get a "Toy" now, you are locked in for another 2 years. However, if you just wait and in 9 months, a new killer, "got to have it" device comes out, you are free to upgrade. Don't limit your options.
