Re: Could Windows mobile 7 be for real
Ok. Whatever glitch i saw last week seems to be corrected. THANKFULLY you are correct that all contacts are getting sync'd (as expected, not just in network) I spent time with 4 accounts on 3 phones last week on this and perhaps it was a WL glitch but there are no real settings (WL mobile has 3 sync options).
A couple of accounts were new and i wonder if there is a lag in service (why would there be) to limit sync/etc. to X hours or whatever. I swear to you only "in network" was syncing. I sure would love to know what changed because 2 were brand new phones. Anyways thanks for the discussion or i'd have never tried again (and obviously never recommend WL again until wave4 or the next possible upgrade) Quote:

I agree that the cloud can certainly be helpful in a lot of cases. But to make a device that depends on it is foolish. I use the cloud during my day, pretty much every day. But I would never want to be dependant on the cloud. No matter how useful it is, I still want full functionality when I am not connected. |

I agree with you. I listed those only because they VALIDATE a real use of cloud for mass-market not tekkie geek-only applications. We'll see more of that as devices can be connected anywhere/anytime.

Re: Could Windows mobile 7 be for real
Lots of WInMo 7 news by the way, just to get back on topic...
It will be announced next month at the Mobile World Congress, and it will be backwards compatible: http://www.phonenews.com/windows-mob...surfaces-9990/ And the big news, it will NOT be based on Win CE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618631 So there you go folks, back on topic... |
