Remember "Ziggy 2016 Fix.cab" is in a very real sense only a workaround.
You may still want to look for a better fix, either an official one, or one of Ziggy's fixes.

it doesnt work with me running Energy 'Phoenix 2/Leo' (21891) |Feb 6| Sense 2.5 Touch Pro 1, any ideas?? is it possible to extract the fix from the official release?? thank you ziggy for your great work

Yes he has already done this.
There are two such files.
You'll need to read the messages in order to try and work out which might work for you.

already done that but it doesnt work. I have installed ziggys fix, reboot then smsfix, reboot; archived sms have the correct date but incomming new messages still have 2016 bug. Those are the 2 files you are talking about i have a VGA Touch Pro

There is the original workaround, the CorrectSMSDate program to use with it and two fix files which are made from official fixes.

Which file do you mean by "ziggys fix" ?
I presume smsfix means CorrectSMSDate.

Im sorry by ziggys fix i mean Ziggy 2016 Fix.cab and te smsfix I mean CorrectSMSDate. You were right with it haha. Those are the ones I've installed but still have the 2016 bug

Can someone please take me step by step through how I do this on my phone. I am a complete noob when it comes to phone technology but I really want my timestamps fixed. I have a Palm Treo Pro and have installed no updates or anything.
