any update on when sprint/htc/microsoft releasing an official patch for it? that is actually going to work 110%?

i am surprised that this hasn't been officially released yet, so many people are affected by this problem!!!

where is MSOFT/SPRINT when you need em?

Check the first post, just added the CorrectSMSDate program. Just extract, copy to your phone and run. It should go through all your SMS messages and fix the date for you.

This doesn't fix the inherent problem in rilphone.dll, just fixes that data/time field in the message database.

The hot fix posted on the HTC website seems to work great for my Diamond. Even the dates on past texts are correct now.

Yeah I'm about ready to pull my hair out over here trying to make that fix work on my cooked ROM. There just has to be some way to get the fix onto a cooked ROM...

you should be me. right now i have a phone that wont recieve sms/mms because of this fix. and im too lazy to hard reset, but trying everything to get it to work.

I know how you feel psycho, I bit the bullet as well and did not work. I took the plunge to reset though....

Anyone extract all the files yet from this cab?
