text messages from the future Y2KX issue

Well I am not using touch flo, I use spb shell and I have it use the default messaging client.

Well, believe it! Mine is unaffected too! I'm running MightyRom Impact 12/28. It only shows "Today" and the time. Here's what I see:

After 2am? saw a post earlier saying it only started on thier phone after 2am

That would be on their phone. MY phone is still UNAFFECTED as of my most recent text message @ 4:04pm EST. . . . Just confirmed my wife's TP2 running the original MightyRom is also UNAFFECTED.

We're in Glen Allen (Richmond), Virginia - not that it matters.

There are threads on various forums about this. It's a Windows Mobile issue, not specifically HTC. Someone posted about an LG WM device with the problem, and people on various carriers have reported it. I guess we'll just have to deal with it until someone can find a solution. Hopefully it doesn't take too long.

I guess I fail to understand how this would be a hardware-specific issue? Or was the assertion that it's somehow related to HTC-produced software code (Sense)?

This is NOT a HTC problem...this is happening with many windows mobile devices.

I'm 100% stock, just activated my phone two days ago and it's got the 2016 issue. It certainly isn't life threatening but it is a bit annoying. Hope the fix comes soon.
