Re: USB Charge only, no sync
Yes, in Active Sync, you can change the settings to no Sync. Then when you plug in the phone to the pc, it will not actually sync. You will get the prompt on your phone but nothing actually gets synced. If you have Vista or 7, check with Microsoft support site.

Re: USB Charge only, no sync
Here's the catch. On my office computer, if I plug it in, it'll still try to install drivers-WHICH IS BAD.
No outlets available either. (don't ask) I was considering cutting the middle 2 pins on a USB cable and allow for charging only, but figured I'd check for a software solution first. On the palm pre, when you plug it in to usb cable it asks-charge only, drive mode, etc. I was hoping for a similar situation. At home of course, I want sync and all the goodies. ![]() |

Re: USB Charge only, no sync
In active sytem,if your turn of allow USB connection does in still want to install drivers? If so, then you want to get a USB cable for charge only. I have one that came with a external battery charger. I would good MINI USB Cable for Charge only.
