Re: TP2, 3 days old and I bricked it.

Steps I'd try...

Pull battery and hold power button to drain anything that may be residual.

Try booting to the boot loader?

Try a hard reset boot?

Does anything at all happen when you push the power button?

Does the computer recognize the divice in anyway when it's plugged in?

have you tried running the unlocker even though windows says it hasn't installed the driver correctly?

Do you have a SD card in it? I'd recommend pulling the SD and sim card and trying.

Like I said before, if it doesn't power on or anything... bring it to your local retailer and call it DOA

don't have my phone with me so I'll try draining power carefully - had the battery out for days so I'm sure that did it.

1. You do all troubleshooting while on battery and not plugged into computer/AC right? I've tried all three ways
2. Nothing happens at all when you press power, LED, Screen is fully black
3. Have run all correct unlocker/relocker/stock upgrade/mighty upgrade programs and none of them recognize the device
4. Had no SD, SIM was not removed, will try tonight.

Thank you very much for all of your suggestions gentleman

Yeah I know for sure that I have the correct drivers for the phone when it's working properly because my old Touch Pro2 works perfectly with WinMo Device Center. It's when it's in the funky diagnostic mode where it won't turn on I get the weird Qualcomm WCDMA MMS driver problem.

Re: TP2, 3 days old and I bricked it.

this should help you as well
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=524619

I just popped my tp2 into boot loader and plugged it into win7. It came up as qualcomm blah blah blah with a bad driver.

I then went to device manager, right clicked the device>properties>update driver>search automatically....

It downloaded the drivers and updated the name of the device to HTC USB Sync.

Though this may help, I think the real problem is that the phone is never getting to the point where it will accept the connection from the the unlocker software.

Re: TP2, 3 days old and I bricked it.

Ok my 2 cents..
1. you used the wrong hrdspl... If its GSM you used.. screwed & tatooed, If not slow down. stop reading 1 post jump off etc..
2. if you get bootloader & see it switching to USB. your not borked
3. you only need the computer to read your phone. (ive had this happen on a bad flash)
4. LET the file run. do not pull the cord till the phone restarts.
5. Take it back. Just don't be so folish as to say what you tried to do.
6. DO NOT ATTEMPT AGAIN TILL YOU CAN FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! Theres a reason you use hardspl's for SPECIFIC DEVICES.

I kinda feel bad, but I laughed when I read the Raphael unlocker was used.

No go. Installed the funky drivers so USPL could be used but that's only for GSM devices so no hope there. It's fully dead.
