Re: Who plans to go HD2?

To be honest, I was with AT&T back when it was Bell south Mobility back in 1989. I just switched over to Verizon just last year. I didn't want to go over myself. But, where I moved the service was terrible. I would have to go out in the front yard to get service. The only carriers that work where I live is Verizon & Southern Linc. To be honest, I haven't had as many dropped calls with Verizon. I am always able to get service. I have not found a place yet that I couldn't get service. So, for me CDMA is the way to go as far as getting a signal and making calls. Were I live I get 3G speeds just find. The only thing that you can't do and isn't that big of a deal is the talking on the phone while on the internet.

As far as a US carrier getting the HD2, no one is so far. Of course that is according to HTC. I would love nothing more to have a HD2. But, there is no one so far that is getting one. I talked with HTC on Jan. 6th of 2009. Keep in mind that it was from a customer support person on the phone. So, take it with a grain of salt. Also, they said that there is not a CDMA version at all. Everything is GSM at the moment. I have the Touch Pro 2 myself. Just got it a little over a week. I love the phone I would NEVER want to go back to the Touch Pro. Especially the Verizon one. In less then two months I went though three of those ghastly things. Kept having problems with the touch screen dying. Kept getting the rainbow effect in the thing. So, the Touch Pro 2 is defiantly welcomed.

I hope that they do make a CDMA version of the HD2 and Verizon & Sprint gets it. But if they don't, I am sure that HTC will have a phone by years end that will have the snap dragon processor and a capacitive touch screen for the US market. Until then, I am perfectly happy with my Touch Pro 2.
