And of course HTC will eventually have a Wimax phone on Sprint. The questions are, when will it be, what specs and features will it have, will I be able to get Wimax where I live at any point in the future (only 5 cities planned this year and mine isn't one of them), and will everyone else already have way better phones on LTE or HSPA+ networks before then? Over a full year after Sprint launched Wimax, and we still don't have a single Wimax phone. But hey, it's all good, at least there is a rumor that HTC might be making a Wimax phone at some point- with no timeframe, and no features or specs... Proof of Sprint only launching Wimax in 5 cities in 2010: http://jkontherun.com/2009/03/25/spr...for-2009-2010/ Proof that Sprint's financial situation is far worse than Sony's: http://money.cnn.com/2009/01/26/news...ion=2009012609 Another reason why it's hillarious that you would say Sony Ericsson is struggling while trying to be optimistic about Sprint: http://www.ibtimes.com.hk/articles/2...ollar-deal.htm Last edited by BlackDynamite; 02-01-2010 at 01:33 AM. |

#1: I've had both. I switched to Sprint from AT&T in late October. So no need for me to ask anybody, I know first hand. #2: Before AT&T got the iPhone, they were the largest carrier in the USA. It was only after the iPhone that Verizon passed them up. #3: While AT&T does have network issues in a couple of cities, the iPhone itself has problems too. I don't see too many people on other phones reporting the issues that iPhone users are experiencing. There are plenty of articles on the iPhone being the problem too. I never had any trouble with AT&T, but I am not an iPhone user. #4: Sprint's coverage is not any better than AT&T's. Verizon has a much larger network than AT&T, but Sprint's is about the same size. There might be a couple of cities in backwoods North Dakoda or someplace like that where Sprint has coverage and AT&T doesn't. But AT&T has all the medium sized cities covered. Re: Who plans to go HD2?
AT&T and T-mobile are both crap here. I have both a Sprint phone and an AT&T phone and quite a few places ive been over the city I have coverage with my Sprint that I have no coverage with AT&T.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
I now have T-Mobile and sprint, I don't even pick up my sprint tp2 anymore. Sprint may have a bigger nationwide footprint but in the whole bay area there is no difference. I can't say sprint is better then T-Mobile, and unless you physically try it out no one can say Sprint is better. That T-Mobile gets shitbox service myth needs to end.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
What's really good about T-Mobile is more then likely they will have winmo 7 long before Sprint unless Sprint really goes with LG for winmo 7 which of course I will pass on, I'll wait for HTC to make a device or the HD2 to gets its upgrade.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
T-Mobile has Android 2.1 and Windows Mobile 6.5 right now and Sprint doesn't have either of them. So I would not be surprised at all to see them get Windows Mobile 7 before Sprint.

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
after reading these threads you really get to see how afraid of change people are. Nobody wants to try android because they swear winmo is more a professional phone (it isn't, android does everything easier and faster except for word, powerpoint, excel, and slingbox), people don't want to try to tmobile for whatever reason. But if you do the tmobile coverage map and it says you get good service throught your whole city there is no reason not to try them out. I was with sprint for 10 years and i even worked for them, i now have my tmobile nexus and that myth about sprints evdo reva being faster then 3g is definitely a myth. I haven't had 1 dropped call yet and i've driven up and down the coast 3 times in the last week. But i'm not here to change people, everyone eventually will find out in the end. i just found out sooner rather then later sprint is not the business, they don't get the hottest phones and even when they do gsm already has them. tmobile has android 2.1 on nexus, mytouch, and behold 2, sprint doesn't even have 2.1 at this time. tmobile has 6.5 on touch pro 2, sprint doesnt even have 6.5 out. the samsung intrepid 3.0 inch screen isn't my definition of 6.5. I have my sprint tp2 chillin in my glove compartment just incase but i haven't had a need for it. Sprint is about to be the low end of the 4 popular companies and the high end of the companies like metro.
