SOLVED - 2.1 weather update frequency!!

Well its not just the weather .. its the sun/moon/night/day/ thing thats updated too!

Mine still doesn't update at the hour interval. Yes I have soft reste since I made the change. I manually entered the entry and also tried the cab and neither work. Using Verizon tp2 with stock rom.

I can't say that surprises me.

I am on VZ also & when I was running MightyROM (manila 2.1) my weather never updated once (it didn't even update at the 3 hour intervals although I had auto-update checked)

Now that I run Juicy's ROM with manila 2.5 set to update every 15 minutes it finally works the way it's supposed to.

For the first few days, I was checking on it constantly comparing what it said on my home screen to the temp/conditions from weather underground to see how it was doing. Everytime I checked, it was right on & now I finally know what the outside temp is from within my office (with no windows)

When I was running MightyROM it was not unusual for the home screen temp to be off by 12 degrees or more.......(& still showing a moon at 11AM)

I'm running Mighty 2.1 12/6/09 and the 15 min cab doesn't work for me either... Prior to this install, it didn't install every three like it was supposed to either...I would love to get this fixed...

I hate to do this but... I am running the 12.06 mighty rom and mine is updating evry 15 min. I installed the cab and reset the phone. When it came back up it did not update and showed the last update was 4 min ago which was correct. I let it set and it whent to sleep. I let more than 15 min go by and when I pressed the power button the time flipped forward to the correct time and the weather updated while I was watching it. I would say that it works now.

Edit: Okay well it updated on it's own at 15 min one time but now it's showing 20 plus min and no update. Sorry about the quick draw on the post.

Edit 2: It finaly updated at the 30 min mark on its own. Not sure whats up.

Mine still updates at the 3 hour mark. So I don't understand why this works for some and not others. It doesn't work on the imagio either. I guess it is nonworking on stock verizon phones

Are you sure the reg. edit took ? go and look .. and make sure you have..

HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\

Weather.AutoDownloadInterval

Just to check ..
