TP2 ram question.

What happened to all the ram on the tp2. I thought the tp2 was supposed to bave 288mb ram but on a few custom roms that I've been using, it shows only 182mb total. What happened to the remaining 100mb?

Re: TP2 ram question.

specs for the tp2 CDMA:

Memory183 MB (internal memory available to user for storage)

are you sure your not looking at the storage memory instead of the ram?

Re: TP2 ram question.

Hmm thats strange. I thought the specs for the tp are the same as the tp1. Phonearena says there is 288mb for the Sprint tp2.

http://www.phonearena.com/htmls/HTC-...ne-p_3710.html

Same from htc wiki:

Re: TP2 ram question.

hey,
actually.... it is 256MB + 32MB (Video Memory) = 288MB
that is what is installed on the device, of course depends on what you are running at that time, will have less then 100MB free.

Re: TP2 ram question.

Ok so the tp2 has 288mb RAM. 32mb of the 288mb is video ram. In my settings it shows i have 253mb of storage and 183mb or program memory. I'm sure that the program memory is the phone ram. So what happened to the 73mb that it doesnt show?

Re: TP2 ram question.

Go to Start->Settings->System->Memory.

You will see the Storage Memory(NVRAM - Internal SSD) on the Left and the Program memory on the right. (RAM - what your programs, documents, cache's, etc. load into) Which is what you see when you go to "About". I'm thinking that is what you are looking at. The Storage memory is the 288 you see in the specs. This is basically like the Hard Drive of the phone or Solid State Disk, etc.

Re: TP2 ram question.

That sucks. So the tp1 had more storage space and ram.
