Re: Touch Pro 2 and SERO
yes, and yes. you can activate any winmo phone on a sero plan as of now. the easy answer to the second question is yes. it must be a sprint phone. (unless you plan to modify it heavily, which is easy if you know how.)

Re: Touch Pro 2 and SERO
I would make sure it's a Sprint one you get off ebay though.

Re: Touch Pro 2 and SERO
Well what to do you know, I got a phone with a bad ESN. I looked for the most reputable person selling Touch Pro II's on ebay and decided to buy one from this fellow http://myworld.ebay.com/roosetel . The item pages stated "Clean ESN", ..."ESN Status: Good, ready to activate"... So I'm not to worried about the worse case being me screwed, given that if the seller doesn't correct the issue eBay or Pay-pal would rule in my favor of a refund.
The seller had nearly 4k feedback at 99.4%, I have contacted him couple of hours ago and have not herd back yet. Sprint said the phone was activated yesterday 12-21-2009, which is the day the seller shipped my phone and I got it today 12/22/2009. I think this is just a mix-up more so then a malicious matter, but we will see. If they seller asks for an exchange or refund should I file a complaint first and proceed from there? Also, should I file a complaint through eBay or Pay-Pal? Here is the link to the auction I got the phone from. Last edited by Kezzerxir; 12-22-2009 at 07:00 PM. |

Re: Touch Pro 2 and SERO
Sero with TP2 is the best bang for a buck deal out of all US carriers(and most likely the world). As for the seller - i would contact him first(wait couple days for response not everyone checks email everyday during holidays) before filing the claim or leaving negative feedback(especially) i am sure its just misunderstanding(judging by his feedback) and can be fixed by a single phone call to sprint on sellers side

Re: Touch Pro 2 and SERO
I purchased two phones from the same seller. I waited a week before I activated my phones and they both are good.
I think this guy purchases though a corp account, which is why you don't get the phone shipped in your name. You prob got the following email. --- Your order is currently being processed and your item will be delivered to you within next 48 hours. Unfortunately we are having some issues with our shipping server and your package may arrive to you in a different receiver name. If this can be a problem for you in receiving the package please contact us immediately. In this case your package will be handled manually and it may take up to 5 additional business days for your order to be shipped. If we do not hear from you in next 24 hours your order will be automatically processed and you will be receiving an additional email containing the UPS tracking number. If you agree to these conditions please be ready to receive the package in next 48 hours at the shipping address you have provided us and DO NOT refuse the UPS package if the name on the package is not yours. We apologize for this inconvenience and Thank You in advance for your understanding. Sincerely, Roosetel --- The phones ships activated, and I believe that the seller must remove the phone numbers from the activated corp account before you can then use it on yours. Sometimes it seems that you get the phone before the seller gets the info to remove the corp account, and therefore shows that the phone is already activated. On your packing slip there is a phone number, most likely for the new phone. Both my phones activated ok and are still working today. This is all theory, and your millage may vary. |
