keep keypad on during calls

Hi,

When making calls and calling voicemail I frequently need to hit numbers, pound keys, etc. Between the screen going black and then having to fumble for that keypad key, I have lost several calls to and from voicemail and have had to re-dial and start over.

Is there a way to make the phone keep the keypad up during a voicecall? Right now I have to hit the call key and then hit keypad which is extremely annoying.

Thanks,
Nick

The problem that you seem to be having was one that i also ran into. I think the reason why your phone is like that is because it has an IT policy on it through exchange. If you don't setup to sync with exchange it doesnt knock you out of the last screen you were working with.

for me what worked was this app here called stay unlock.

Re: keep keypad on during calls

from what I understand, this is only fixed by moving to a cooked, newer 6.5 rom. This is a known problem (HTC knows about it and is "working on it") with the stock 6.1 ROM. So either run a cooked ROM or wait for an official 6.5 ROM which will likely fix it.

Don't these developers/testers test this stuff out before they release. This is a very common issue (calling voicemail) when using the phone.

I was about to reply and say that I don't have that issue on my phone but then I realized I unlocked and flashed my rom within the first 20 mins of owning it so.......

You'd think they would. Given the fact this has been to some extent an issue seen in other WinMo phones over the past couple of years and because we're not talking about some seldom-used app but the PHONE, someone should get fired, IMO.

Re: keep keypad on during calls

You would think there was a reg edit we could do to keep this from happening? I hate the fact when I am in a call and it allways goes back to the home screen! Never stays on the actual phone screen!! Drives me nuts!!!

Re: keep keypad on during calls

has anyone figured out how to get the phone to stay in the current mode when waking up with the top button and going into the home screen ? what about when when you get a phone call from a new number and you want to copy it on the phone to a text or to the web for a quick reverse search ? any easy way ?
