Ok, good! Last question time - What Operating System are you running on your PC(XP, Vista, 7)? This will let me dial-in with proper instructions...

Ok here's how to find your Windows folder from Win7:

Using Windows Mobile Device Center;

1. Click on "Connect without setting up your device" when you first connect your phone.
2. Hover over "File Management" on the next screen, the click "Browse the contents of your device".
3. You now should have a display of the disc drives of your TP2. Before going further, look to the upper left for the drop down labled "Organize" with a chevron to the immediate right. Click on Oranganize and select "Folder and search options". This brings you to Folder Options, click on the tab labeled "View" and look to the listings under "Advanced Settings". What you need to do is click on the radio button labled "Show hidden files, folders, or drives" under "Hidden files and folders" header AND click the arrow OFF of "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)"...NOTE: Windows 7 will squawk when you do this but just click "Yes".
4. Now will be able to see the Windows folder on your TP2!

You are very welcome! Yes, drop the htmlnote.dll file into your Windows directory on the phone. It's always a good idea to to a soft reset(power off and power back on) following this type of change. Then, hopefully your message counter will reset properly and no more frustration.

Re: Notification Won't Go Away

I, for some reason, have a larger version of the .dll file in the /Windows folder already. It also says I cannot delete it. Is it alright to move the smaller, real .dll file to the folder and leave the other one, or is there some way to delete the larger version?

Just to be 100% safe - Copy the orginal DLL file from your Windows directory someplace else for safekeeping, then overwrite the original DLL with the supplied one from the Zip file.
