If he can get to the bootloader mode, all hope might not be lost. Try finding a stock tmo tp2 rom. Try flashing that from the bootloader screen. (It won't connect thru activesync or device center...but just flash anyway...it should recognize it)

I would try to flash using sd card instead of usb cable.

ok does this have to be FAT or only FAT32?
i am trying to flash from my 4gb Class 4 Microsd(not using the .exe bootloader, i manualy enter the boot loader) i used to be able to before, now i move any .nbh to the card and it says "no image file" sorry if this deviates from the topic thoughts? |

I think it has to be 2gb or less formatted fat32
