How is the signal on the Pro 2? My mogul barely works in my house (can't even talk on the phone in some rooms, but texting works). I tried the palm pre, and that has to be used outside to make calls, but texting also works indoors. Sorry for all of the questions, but I'm REALLY picky when it comes to my electronics lol Last edited by nitrotrike; 12-15-2009 at 06:41 PM. |

Re: Silly question about the Pro 2
If "holder" means that you can slide the stylus into the body, then yes. It is made of strong aluminum and of all the styluses I have from my htc diamond and tp2 (around 6) none of them have broke.
The stylus snaps into the body very nicely and pulls out very easily as well. Although it does not magnetically retract into the body (like the diamond and pro), it still snaps in very easily and securely. Btw, you can always change your on-screen keyboard by downloading one here or off the web if you dont like the stock one, but it's still very good. Signal is about the same for all my htc devices...I believe you probably have bad coverage in your area/house and probably not a problem with your devices. |

I actually prefer the "stock" keyboard on WM5, not sure what WM6 even looks like, but i've been told it's just slightly rounded and prettier lol. What is a decent price to pay for a used / new one? I'm not going through Sprint to buy it, as I am month to month with them as far as contract is concerned. |

But you can use the WM6 soft Keyboard too if you want and it's not all that different. The phone is quite usable with no stylus (even with soft keyboard but not the WM keyboards as they are not finger friendly). Look on Ebay completed list. Around $350.00 to $400.00

Re: Silly question about the Pro 2
I also forgot to ask.. headset adapters. My Mogul uses an adapter (which I have to replace about every 6 months) to use my boom style wired headset (I use it alot while typing). Do you use an adapter, or does it plug right into it? My headset is a 2.5mm, 3 'conductor' plug. I know many phones are also MP3 players, and you have to configure them for a mono headset instead of stereo ear buds, etc.

Re: Silly question about the Pro 2
The sprint version (I think it's the only one) has a standard (3.5mm) stereo headset adapter. You can also still use the HTC headset.
My main reason for jumping on this thread though was your keyboard question. The TP2's hardware keyboard is a big improvement over the Mogul's. And because of the big jump in resources, I've never missed a call 'cause the handset couldn't launch the phone app... was a big problem on my Mogul.

Re: Silly question about the Pro 2
OK, i finally got the TP2 after 4 different calls to Sprint. Anywho... is there an EASY way to copy my contacts from my mogul to the TP2 without using ActiveStink?
What "cleaners" can you guys recommend? I used to use "fast cleanup" and it seemed to what it is supposed to. |
