Ok, maybe I need to be enlightened a bit. What does the "hybrid" stand for in those posts? I've never heard that terminology used in MMS context so maybe you can fill me in? I don't claim to know everything, I just aspire to.

Hybrid is both networks (cdma & gsm) for phones that are both CDMA and GSM for example the Imagio and Sprint/Verizon Touch Pro2.

5MB cab? A cab that has the limit set to 5mb? The fix I wrote does that.

Here is what it does:

Sets limits to 5mb, sets the URI to pcs-boost-mmsc-submit.sun3.lightsurf.net, sets your device to HTC T7380 (aka Sprint Touch Pro2), sets your X-MDN to 1(your 10-digit phone number) and it does it for both networks (CDMA & GSM)

Re: No MMS on Boost Mobile!

I tried the CAB Boominsvx provided, and while it did fix my MMS problem, it messed up my SMS hahah. I'll try the method m4f1050 provided now and report back with results.

EDIT : Boominsvx's method worked, but no SMS. m4f1050's method didn't work entirely. I guess I'll just install and uninstall Boominsvx's cab whenever I need to MMS haha thanks both of you.

What phone and software are you using? I suggest you reset your device to get SMS working again, then install ArcSoft, then the fix. Always works for me on any ROM I flash.

Nicely done. The mdn and the t7380 are the two things I mentioned back when I used mightyrom. Those were the biggest alterations to a usable boost mobile cab for mms between the stock and cooked roms. I believe i posted a fix to change them to your info, but that was long ago and I never persued how to make the mdn applicable to the phone I remember I came across a reg setting mighty had used that made the phone set that portion of the registry, but on the verge of breaking it for use in my cab I gave up. Do you mind giving me an idea of how you set this in your cabs? I'll do some searching, but if I can alter my cab for those that need it and it works correctly, i'd sleep better tonight. I don't want to distribute bad solutions to good people if I can find a way around it. LMK. Thanks.

Edit: from what I gather, my cab had no mdn setting and therefore decided on it's own upon installation. I see your cab uses x-mdn 10000000000. Is that the variable that allows programming the mdn to your phone number? It would make sanse to me that this is just an un-named entry to be configured upon installation for your correct phone number. I can't wipe my phone out right now to try it, but it would seem so.

Not trying to make your option obsolete in any way. Just trying to find a way to make a 1 cab install that can be run in xda-uc to allow mms out of the box with a 5mb size limit and minimal effort.

Do you use microsoft myphone? If I forget to install my cab when I reflash my phone, often times i'll get a few texts and when I go to restore my old ones WITH my new ones, it can give me trouble. I'd say move all your texts to the archive, delete them all off the phone, run the cab install, and then use myphone's webpage to move the ones you want back afterward. Otherwise, if you can, delete them all and give it another try. Soft reset both BEFORE AND AFTER the install. This is always good practice to avoid errors. Sometimes SMS can be open when you try to install and it will hang it up. Good luck.

Get my cab and extract SetMDN.exe (I wrote it in VB.Net and it can be very easily ported to C#, since it's a managed dll you can't use it on setup.dll, it does a call to SMS.DLL to get phone # and sets the X-MDN to that. GSM has a 1 but CDMA doesnt, the program checks this to add a 1 if it doesn't have it.) I have the source code if you need it.
