For this reason, I compared everything from the stock rom to the cooked rom and made the appropriate changes. The reg edits involved are corrected in this cab. You should be able to install and go. It should work, but you won't know until you try. If you ever go back to the stock rom, It should work anyway. Mine did. Let us know.

Edit: To install this cab, use active sync and click explore to locate your storage card or phone memory. Place it there and then use file explorer to click it and run the installer wherever you put it. Total commander would work as well. Restart the phone when done. Sorry, I missed that part.

Thanks BOOMINGVX. ill give it a try.... it is wierd that some of this HTC phones they work fine on boost mobile without cabs or roms.. but on my HTC TP2 thats the only problem that i have that i cant send MMS. everything else seems to be running OK even whenusing the factory rom.. so thats why i flashed my phone in the first place thinking it was going to fix this MMS issue but likei said it didnt.... maybe they should implement boost mobile as a carrier on the future ROMS since boost mobile its also a CDMA carrier just like verizon sprint and a few others..so that all booost features work as well.. just my opinion... by the way BOOMINGVX so if i wanna go back to the stock or other any ROM what do i do? just install it like i did with this energy one? or do i need to do anything before reinstalling any ROM inluding the stock ROM? please let me know and thanks again...

Re: No MMS on Boost Mobile!

Roms change daily around here. Just when you think you've got every cab you need for the most up-to-date things out, something gets better, faster, and easier. Maybe eventually, someone will devise a way to self automate the server address and the arcsoft settings by using network defined specifics, but until that day, it's always going to be trial and error. Some phones (like mine) worked for MMS without doing anything more than assigning the correct server address in the registry. Others just can't seem to make the stock roms work. Some have freezing issues while others don't. Either way, as you can see from this thread, there are always people to help and lend a hand, and someone always has the newest, latest and greatest. Most of it can be found rather quickly if you search for what you need. You won't break anything that isn't fixable. Just use Microsoft Myphone for backups of the vitals like contacts pictures and videos (texts can be saved as well but may cause issues in future roms) and keep all your cabs in one folder on the storage card, and a backup on the pc. If something goes bad, think of it as a chance to re-upgrade your phone. The glass is half full man. You own a ppc.

well i tryed this cab and the MMS started to wok. but then the wifi router on the phone stopped working. i restarted the phone and still wont connect. so i did a factory setting of coarse using the energy ROM and my wifi router started to work again. but i asume the MMS its dead again.. i dont want to loose the wifi router. thats like the best app there is for this phone. oh well i guess ill wait ontill somthing comes out where i can use the MMS and wifi router with no problems. so since nobody had answer my question about how do i reinstall the stock ROM or other ROMs iam just going to go on my own the same way i installed the energy one even if i mess up my phone... since nobody has an answer on how to go back to the stock or a different costum rom then what i have now.. Thanks anyways BOOM if u find anything to fix the MMS without messing up the wifi router please let me know thanks

Re: No MMS on Boost Mobile!

Use the BoostMMSFix.cab file that DaddyMikey1975 posted up in post #27. I'm using the EnergRom with this cab file and it works fine. I can send and receive MMS on my phone fine. One thing you'll need to do is, tweak the registry file for this Arcsoft cab so that you can send bigger files, as this Arcsoft cab file only allows 300kb. I tweaked mine to allow 5.5Mb. If you got any questions, feel free to hit me up.

Re: No MMS on Boost Mobile!

thanks for your reply alibaba.. well do u have a URL for this cab file? also how do i delete or change de arcsoft.. iam honest i dont know anything on how to modify or hack or crack phones. i just do the simple stuff to install cabs or ROMS. now the cab you are telling me about will make the MMS to work and the wifi router app will still work as well? iam asking becuase i downloaded the above cab and yes the MMS started to work but the wifi router app wouldnt work.. it almost like there is a shared URL or setting between the MMS and wifi router. and since i didnt know how to make the wifi router to work again a did a full factory reset and the wifi router started to work again.. this whole thing its very confusing.. i just dont understand why some HTC phones they are running on boost using the stock ROM and without cabs or hacks or what ever might be and everything works fine even MMS.. now my phone HTC TP2 everything work using the stock rom but no MMS. oh well. please let me know thanks...

Re: No MMS on Boost Mobile!

Are you sure it broke the wifi router, or did it just grey it out? Mine was greyed out until I ran it from the start menu/tools folder and then it came back and has been fine since. If you are having all these problems, maybe you should task 29 that device. Just a thought.

Re: No MMS on Boost Mobile!

Well, one thing to do is start new, either flash stock rom or run Task 29 first. Then flash custom rom of your choice. Install the Arcsoft cab.

You'll need Total Commander or Registry Edit programs to access and tweak the Arcsoft cab. Once you've installed the Arcsoft cab, it'll list two "Sample" servers in the registry edit.

Here's how to get to the registry edit:
There should be two "Sample MMSC" servers, first one will contain Sprint, second one will contain Boost.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\Arcsoft MMS UA\Config\UI\Customization\Size Limit

You'll need tweak the size limit registry edit settings; all the following settings listed will need to changed to allow you to send a larger sms/mms. (I changed my settings to 5512000 for all settings).

Wap1RecvLimit1, Wap1RecvLimit2, Wap1RecvLimit3
Wap1SendLimit1, Wap1SendLimit2, Wap1SendLimit3

Wap2RecvLimit1, Wap2RecvLimit2, Wap2RecvLimit3
Wap2SendLimit1, Wap2SendLimit2, Wap2SendLimt3

Got to run, got to go check out campsite for upcoming camping trip, but if you have any other questions, hit me up.

Edit: Yes, this Arcsoft cab allows both Wi-fi and MMS txt-send & recv. On other hand, do as Boominsvx said, check to make sure it's not greyed out.

Re: No MMS on Boost Mobile!

well guys first of all i dont dont even know what task 29 is. and second before i installed the Boost ArcSoft Threaded MMS 5.2.12.45.cab the wifi router was working by the way iam using ENERGY ROM but of coarse no MMS even on ENERGY ROM. thats why i upgraded to ENERGY thinking that it was going to fix the MMS problem because since the stock ROM the MMS never worked for me. well i was able to recieve but not send MMS to be specific... now once again before i installed the Boost ArcSoft Threaded MMS 5.2.12.45.cab the wifi router was working and after i installed this cab i was able to send MMS but the wifi router APP stopped working.. i stoped and start the wifi app and no luck. i even turned the phone off and on again a few times and still no wifi router. so i got tired of it and i did a full reset to restore energy ROM defaul setings and right after i did that the wifi router started to work again. so thats how i notice that there was a conflict or somthing between MMS and the wifi router when using this Boost ArcSoft Threaded MMS 5.2.12.45.cab. once again gus i appreciete you intention of helping me.. iam easy to fallow intructions. but since i have eye problems i tend to get stock sometimes. once again thanks for you support and i have to admit this forum kicks ass. iam going to do my best to try those settings. but if if i need any app in order for me to any of this settings please let me know. so i dont screw up this phone.. thanks

Any ideas why this cab would disable the wifi router? I run the MightyRom Ver 2/10/10 and have not had the MMS working since then. After installing this .cab I got MMS to work! But then my wifi router stopped working! Uninstalled the cab and the router worked again! What gives???
