Keep receiving the same text from the same person every time I turn my phone on

I was getting the same thing on the stock att rom. But i was having another problem with it too; every once in a while when i would slide my keyboard to open or close my phone would shut off. And when i would turn it on the text was back as a new message and the text i sent them wasn't in there. I just did a hard reset today so ill see if continues
