Sound like it's a mess now. I would suggest a device wipe. Once done run the carrier prov tool and then install other stuff. If you don't want to do that, export the arcsoft key from the registry and we can look at that and see what the issue may be. You can pm it to me, copy and paste.

OK here is the Deal

Wiped.
Programmed phone.
Reset
Installed Prov.
Reset
Got MMS message fine.
Installed NRGZ HTC messaging.
Reset
GOt MMS but only able to see picture when It showed up in notification area not in the messaging client. There was no paper clip or anything.
Uninstalled NRGZ
Reset
MMS now has button but still using Arcsoft. (GOD I HATE ARCSOFT)
Installed Valkyre
Reset
MMS unable to downoad. No button or paperclip.
Uninstalled.
Reset.
Stuck with Arcsoft. What should I do. I HATE ARCSOFT SOOOOOO MUCH. I want my damn HTC messaging back.

I don't quite understand what you want me to do with registry as I can navigate and edit entries but other than that I am kind of new.

ANy help would be great thanks. (REMINDER: I am Verizon)

if mms worked after this step, why did you need to keep installing different cabs?

Because this post is about HTC Messaging, not Arcsoft.

On your phone, go to start, tool and registry editor. Go down to HKEY Local machine and select Software. Go down to Arcsoft and hold down until context menu pops up and elect export. Make sure to note the file location where it is saving to. Do the same for Jaatayu key.

Connect phone to computer. In My Computer, browse to phone noting the location where you saved the reg exports and copy them to your computer. Click on both files and zip them up. File name doesn't matter.

I will send you a PM with my email address. Login here and click Private Message and open the one I'm sending you. That will have my email.

Just email them to me and I will look them over for anything out of the ordinary.

ok Exporting now. Also this is is a relatively new issue but now when I get a new message it doesn't show up with a number next to the text message icon on Manilla 2.5.

E-Mail Sent.

Any updates on this issue?

What's interesting is that MMS was working for me, a month or so ago, but this problem just came up recently. No idea what happened between then and now. So, I can send, but can't download/recieve any mms txt sent to me. Annoying.

I've tried the MMS fix by Valkyrie with no success. I have the MMS server set up manually as posted in the early pages in here. Hoping for a fix soon!

Its so sad that this has been dropped. I really would like to see this work for us Sprint users.

It got dropped because of the general buggyness of the program. HTC needs to do much more work on it.

Looks like we have a new version of HTC Messages out now!

1.5.2014.3625

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=676159

I've installed it and it works very well -- much snappier than the previous versions on my TP2. Being on Sprint, though, no MMS is a real drag. I am hoping that the release of the new, better-performing version might reignite some of the interest in getting Sprint MMS working.

I would actually be content setting up jMMS to only receive MMS, and using sMMS to send MMS, however I can't seem to distill those instructions out of the thread. Can someone who's had success with such a configuration either point me to the post number, or give me the setting for Sprint to receive-only MMS using jMMS? :)

I tried installing Arcsoft for MMS features on top of HTC Messages, but it the Conversations would get really confused if the last message from a contact was an MMS. It was also strange to have to open the old WM Texting app, because sometimes I could open it, and other times it would open HTC Messages instead.

EDIT
Answered my on question! Here are the settings for Sprint receive-only:

Server Name: (Whatever you like (default is SampleMMSC))
IP Address: (blank)
Port Number: 80
Server Address: http ://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms?X-SPRINT-MDN=8885551234 (replace with your phone #)
Connect Via: Sprint
Send Limit: 1024
WAP Version: None

Re: Native HTC messaging MMS fix (collaboration)

It seems odd, but I am having trouble receiving mms messages. When I go to download the picture, it says it was unable to download the message. I clean flashed the newest Mr. X rom and installed the 1.5.2014.3625 htc messaging app. Since I am on verizon, I then installed the Valkerie mms fix. I then changed the server settings to
Server name: VZW
IP address: blank
Port: 80
Server address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms?X-VZW-MDN=mynumber
Connect via: Verizon Wireless
Send Limit: 1024 KB
WAP version: none

I can send out mms messages, but am unable to receive them. What do I need to change to get this working? Thanks for your help.

EDIT: Installed Ziggy's registry backup and still can't download messages.
