Re: HTC Touch Pro2 Honest Opinion Needed
Really guys....WM7 will require a 1gz processor? Why would Windows build a new OS that only works with the best hardware out there (O wait vista). Android runs on phones with much slower processors. I hope that's not the case if it is they are stupid.

Re: HTC Touch Pro2 Honest Opinion Needed
I love my Touch Pro 2. The physical keyboard alone is worth getting it for. I don't really need multi-touch and this screen is more responsive than my Touch Diamond was. It's also WAY faster in any espect. I'm still shocked how fast this phone is.
Windows Mobile has way more apps than Android has currently and most likely will have more useful apps. It'll be like Apple's app. store soon, a lot of useless apps. Cool, I can pretend I'm drinking a beer.... With my phone. And I paid for it! Get outta here. |

Oh, and just to correct you. The Hero/Sense is getting 2.1, not 2.0.1. That is for Vanilla Android, ie: Droid.

Re: HTC Touch Pro2 Honest Opinion Needed
You can't compare a mobile OS to a desktop OS. In this case requiring a 1GHz processor, capacitive screen, and GPU are all good things. This will force OEM's to supply the hardware required for MS to shake off the cobwebs on WM and start delivering the features necessary to interest buyers.

Jumped ship for Android now that WM is officially useless. |

1. I have not had much experience with capacitive screens, but the few times I've played with capacitive devices, I make just as many typos & mis-taps. The only advantage of capacitive that I personally have noticed is that the screens are tempered glass which means they're much tougher & don't need screen protectors. 2. WM has WAY more apps than Android, they're just not all organized in a neat little app store. For WM- Google is your app store. And it is NOT That big of an inconvenience, I promise. 3. Others have already answered this one. 4. I have no issues with speed, and I even underclock mine. You may run into some slowdowns if you have like 10 apps running in the background though. 5. I won't lie- it has some meat on it's bones. It is a bit on the big side, but by no means too large for a pocket. I have a snap-on case on mine which makes it even bigger, and I can still carry it in the pockets of my semi-tight girl-jeans.
